General Rules 

• No chargebacks of any payments are allowed, this will result in a permanent blacklist from the server.
• No faking evidence of any player
• No stalking/harassing any player
• Do not leak player's personal information.
  * This includes false information, it will be treated as if it were real.
• Do not use VPNs or proxies. This will result in your account becoming linked to other players' accounts and may cause you to be punished for another player's actions. Mobile Hotspots are also strongly discouraged.
• Do not use NFA/SFA account generators. The reason being that most of these accounts are already punished on OceanLands and may cause you to be blacklisted from the server.
• Account sharing is allowed, but at your own risk! We will not unban you if your shared/secondhand account(s) get banned and/or blacklisted from the server.
• Do not evade a punishment of any kind on any OceanLands platform - this will lead to a blacklist. Forms of evasion include, but are not limited to: Using an alt account to speak in chat whilst your other account is muted, Using /nick and /pay to communicate whilst muted, Renaming items and using /trade to communicate whilst muted.
• IRL Trading of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in a ban.

Use common sense. If common sense dictates something should most likely be against the rules, then do not do it! If you are ever in doubt about something please ask a staff member beforehand.

Communication Rules

• No DDoS/dox/swat threats or actions towards any player under any circumstances (This can also apply to other forms of communication outside of the network only at an administrator's discretion.)

• No leaking (or pretending to leak) another player’s personal information

• No form of threats towards any player for any reason

• No mass messaging

• No suicide encouragement, death wishes or death threats (includes phrases encouraging self-harm such as "slit your wrists") this will result in a permanent ban that cannot be appealed.

• No spamming, flooding chat or encouraging spam. This includes spamming in PMs and spamming commands like /pay, /is ban, /tpa, etc. General rule of thumb of what qualifies as spam: 3 or more nearly identical messages within a single chat window or within 10-15 seconds, or flooding chat with character/keyboard spam

• No link spamming
  You are permitted to send no more than 1 stream/video link every 5 minutes as long as the content is related to OceanLands.

• No intentionally advertising any other Minecraft or Discord server in any way on any platform (includes server IPs and invite links)

• Be respectful to all players and staff; any form of toxicity is punishable.

• No racism, bigotry, hate speech or any other discriminatory language

• Do not intentionally bypass the chat filter to swear or use inappropriate language.

• No creating fake messages (e.g using color chat to make a fake ban message or impersonate as staff, etc.)

• No inappropriate or non OceanLands links (e.g. link to shock sites, pornography, or anything inappropriate)

• No download links anywhere (in-game, Forums, Discord, etc.)

• No solicitation or giveaways of items/things unrelated to OceanLands (e.g. "Selling minecraft accounts cheap!" or "Giving away minecon capes, message me!")

• No selling any in-game item or currency for real life currency or items outside of the OceanLands network (Capes, cosmetics, non-Invaded ranks/perks, etc.).

• No inappropriate messages in chat (e.g. talking about nudity, sex, blood/gore, etc.)

• No inappropriate usage of /nick (e.g. inappropriate language, names, staff impersonation, etc.)

KitPvP Rules

• If you manage to escape the map, contact an admin immediately. 

• No bow boosting / using an ender pearl / block-glitching to get into spawn or a player warp safezone in order to escape combat.

• No boosting your/another player's stats (e.g. getting an alt/friend to kill over and over for extra kills or willingly allowing another player to kill you, claim bounties, etc.)

• No block glitching to combat tag or hit another player through walls (Please note that using a bow to hitbox players is allowed and does NOT fall under this rule!)

• No spawn shooting/killing (bowing or hitting players from within the spawn region)

• No glitch abuse of any kind

Survival Rules

• Griefing methods of any kind are not permitted unless the claim it's done on is owned by you or not currently claimed or does not to damage the integrity of any nearby claims. (If you don’t know whether or not something can be considered griefing, use common sense or ask a staff member) Note: You are responsible for which players you /trust in your claim, so griefing within your claim is not punishable.

• No auto-farming (using programs such as a console client to automatically issue commands like /sell all, /tpaccept, etc.)

• No x-raying or auto-mining for ores

• No portal trapping (blocking portals so players can't move/chat or get out)

• No TP trapping / killing (attempting to trap and/or kill a player when they teleport to you)

• No lag machines

• No inappropriate builds/signs

• No inappropriate item names

• No abuse of shop signs (Normally done to scam players out of more money than intended)

• Don't unfairly abuse server resources. This may include, but is not limited to: overly computationally expensive spawner designs, not clearing items in an area properly, creating lag machines and/or bypassing server limitations. Those that do so unnecessarily use server resources exorbitantly more than other players will find their areas cleared & continued abuse of these resources will result in a ban.
